Fathers recognized at milestone celebration

The Fatherhood PRIDE program recognized 16 dads for completing the program at a February 13th milestone celebration. The event brought together the program graduates, veteran fathers who previously completed the program and new fathers who just started, to honor and celebrate the role they play in their children’s’ lives.

The Coalition’s Fatherhood P.R.I.D.E. (Parental Responsibility Inspiring Dads Everywhere) program strengthens and expands fatherhood, employment, housing, health care, mentoring and recidivism reduction services through case management, referrals and group classes. Fathers in the program complete the evidence-based 24/7 Dad curriculum, receive financial literacy education and receive support and referrals from case managers.

Attendees at the milestone celebration cheered on the dads who completed the program, while also hearing from fathers who previously completed the program but still come back for the camaraderie and support. Fathers also had the opportunity to share with their children present the pride they have and what being a dad means to them.

Fathers interested in joining the program can enroll here. Fatherhood PRIDE serves fathers in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
